Why do all filehosts only pay 5% of premiums when selling through a advertising link, but up to 85% if you sell through files? They make the same money on the premium accounts.

There are no valid reasons now as a webmaster to put up a button or banner with the text "buy a filesonic account", cause if they'd click the banner the webmaster would only get 5%, while if he doesn't put up a banner the customer would perhaps buy a premium through the file so he would get more (60%+ revshare these days..)

I think filehosts should also think about webmasters, not just uploaders

This makes lots of sense. Not forgetting that the top sellers usually have their own websites as websites are the key reason to have consistent sales.
