Question "RelevantKnowledge" virus or not ? :S

Well, as you can see on above picture, after last restart I got this new icon in my taskbar. When I click on it, my browser get pointed to this address:

    Code:
    http://www.relevantknowledge.com/Home.aspx
Does anyone know is this virus or not ? Google is splitted, some peoples saying that is a virus, some that just collects informations for researches.

It is pretty strange to me that avast don't react on this, but I'm currently scaning my PC with malware bytes after some time, and I think MB will fix this.

Is it time to change my antivirus ?

Just finished scanning with MB, and this is log:

It's not being called a "virus" yet because user must opt in and it does nothing malicious aside from gather information and serve ads etc.

It will slow your machine down tho so best to root it out:

simply remove that application, it collect information about your internet trends for marketing purposes and "keeps your information private" in exchange for this you can "enjoy certain free sponsored software" you do not need this, any software you want you can find elsewhere. This is adware no matter what anyone says.

...if it takes up space, has you questioning..delete it!
All right everyone, line up alphabetically according to your height.

I Would download a program called
Superantispyware and run it it is free and will take it out .
It is mostly installed by 3rd party software like when you download a free app and it includes other software you have to opt out of .

Malwarebytes you have used and it works well
Also grab Hijack this its a great program for getting rid of minor things like this

Ive taken this crap out of many of my clients computers with just these 2 programs and

Also Avast is not very good i have allot of clients that come in and they have avast on there computer and there infected and did run Avast and found nothing .

i remove this and install AVG Free . i know people dont care for it , but imo it works better then Avast .

i have these 3 on my computer and im not infected , dont remember the last time i was infected tbh .

    Hope this Helps
