Difference between encode is the hard drive disks are capable of "surviving" the stress due to encodes (which most people do to convert bigger files into smaller ones). Encode is for people that use CPU resources heavily while also using the disk I/O to increase their speed.

If you guys run a disk benchmark test you will see our VPS is probably a very fast VPS that can hold top speeds. The reason most people get slow speeds in transferring or downloading is due to I/O because when hosting several VPS under one server it strains it and slows things down. SAS disks are the best you can get.
