WHAT IT IS WHAT IT DOES SON??
here's the deal. I have a site. lets call it. site.com and it has a CMS installed on it where manages my content (lolz) what my problem is is this.
site.com has the main shit on it, but I want to set up a sub domain to host the off topic shit, well call it. example.site.com (sub dir is already made)
now for these two sites to coincide with each other, do i have to reinstall the cms and basically start all over on example.site.com? so im basically just linking site.com to a whole other site that hosts new shit. is there a way to use site.com's config/users on example.site.com? using the same db in config.php wouldn't work bc it would just update both sites equally, right?
does that make any sense??
ill try once more with some bullshit example
site.com has main shit on it
images.site.com has nothing but images you can browse
videos.site.com has nothing but videos you can browse
I want the WHOLE of the site to remain intact. users/stats/logins/acp/ etc but i want each sub to be its own. I post a video, its only on videos.site.com, i post images its only on images.site.com
etc
TL;DR
I want a subdomain that hosts off colour shit that is tied to domain.com. can I tie them together or am I just setting up two different sites on the same server/domain

CuraShare.Net CuraShare.Me CuraShare.InfoInteresting, you need to modd the subdomains CMS'es then, OR you must copy-paste the users table from the main, to the subdomain, BUT this will only work if the "secret code" (used to decrypt passwords) is the same for both CMS'es/DBses.

innovative-coding.com wolfs-rain.org wolfsrain.org infothread.orgThat's what I'm saying. It will be a huge fucking task to figure out all the bs with the CMS when I could just reinstall the cms on example.site.com, right?
itd be like two different sites on the same site.
I do static.site.com all the time, but never had a working index'd site on a subdomain that is directly connected to maindomain
