It all depends on your needs... You want something you can carry along watch movies? or just for some light web browsing. (social media checking?!) It all depends on it.

I read articles on web that it fully depends on need.
    But I am confused.

Let's say I need it as RDP user. Can I access RDP on Smartphone ?

netbooks are over rated. ~300-400 for them

laptops are ~500 for a nice dual core or i3

if your gonna use an RDP get laptop. dont think you can use RDP on a smartphone.

Netbooks are cheaper but is all size-reduced. anyway, you can always have a usb keyboard and mouse to compensate that and you can connect the netbook to a larger screen via VGA. Something like using the netbook as CPU.

    Just an example to compare...

    Netbook Price and specs

    ~$50 cheaper
single core with 1/2MB L2 cache
    smaller screen

    Notebook Price and specs

    i3 with 3MB L3 cache
    bigger screen
    dvd burner

hope i helped you in deciding

I don't know how powerful today's netbooks are but for all I know they are only good for browsing the internet and doing some MS Office work on the move. My bro's netbook just can't handle movies with its low powered processor.

If you aren't a frequent traveler you would be better off buying a proper laptop as its not too difficult to lug around 2-3 kg laptop. I carry around my 3kg laptop all the time for short trips.

find 11" notebooks and get the one that fits your budget. dont buy netbooks, you'll regret it.
