Actually x264 uses 50 - 70% of the CPU, but coupled with WinRAR and torrents it can make things a bit slow for a while. However, since the specs are good, much better than most other services, its not unusable at all. Most other RDPs would crack in such circumstances.

well i have been there and seen that too , once a guy gets hold of such a service he never compromises, they all do same thing at the same time

i really wish if there could be some provision for the admins to allocate some dedicated numbers of cores to x264 ( especially x264 ) users in the server.
Although there is a way at the users end to tone down the raping of the server with the hands of x264

So far everyone is behaving nicely though.

I think it's quite easy to get along with max. 16 folks, not like we're on a shared celeron with 500 accounts on it.
