Hey,
It depends on your OS. If it's CentOS you need to edit /etc/sysconfig/network. If it's Debian you need to edit /etc/hostname
Are you running any control panel?Krun!x Reviewed by Krun!x on . hostname for dedicated? when i make a new dedicated server, i have to specify a hostname, what host name i shall be using? lets say i have no domain specific in mind (server.domain.tld) what should i do. and if so, what steps i have to do other than inputting a subdomain in my linux machine. should i fix my A records for my domain as well?
