Use Minifier for your js and css files

Been working on my site speed as well for a while now

For starters, you should use apache's mod_deflate module to compress all css and js files.

Move all your Javascript files to the bottom so that they don't hinder the site loading process.

Then you can use CDN for css, image and Js files.

Yeah, minify your CSS, you can use this site:
http://www.cssdrive.com/index.php/main/csscompressor/

Select 'Super Compact' mode and 'Strip all comments' option.
It will definitely speed up your site a bit.
