Default Problem After Restoring Vb 3.8.x

    Hello KWWHunction,

I have encountered a problem that I owned a domain sidnsaz.com on which I was running vb 3.8.x but unfortunately that domain expired so I got a new domain netbuddiez.com.

I have successfully restored all the files and database on to my new domain netbuddiez.com , but when I open the link that redirects to sidnsaz.com

Please, help me to get rid of this problem.

    Thanks in advance.

Go to PHPMyAdmin, click on the table "datastore", click edit.. You'll find the part where it says "bburl", edit that to your new URL.

if you have access to admincp first try to get into it than go to ..

    admincp/--->Settings---->Options--->Site Name / URL / Contact Details---->Forum URL

put the new FOrum URL... it's will fix.. post where result what you got.

Table "datastore" - field "data" - row "options" - look for: "bburl":

Change the old URL to the new one.

Jason, thanks for so coperative. Bro, I did the same as you said. Now, I have noticed something really crap, after making the change when I save the table it shows the GREEN notice that changes saved and x rows effected.

But, the new url keeps redirecting to the old one and when I saw the database table that was again showing the old url there I tried it 4-5 times but result remain the same.

And now the other thing , after restoring the sql database I matched the column numbers and size of orignal sql and new restored swl from phpMyAdmin and it was same over there.

But, when I saw the database option in the new cPanel where I restored the old sql it showed this :

It still shows the exact table in phpMyAdmin but see the size here

This is really creepy. Can you figure this out.

    Thanks in advance.

You're trying to say that changes you made aren't saved?

It must be some bug I guess. If you entered all correct db details, if you assigned all permissions to the user who is connected with the database. And if you changed the bburl to the new one, there should be no problems really.
