I am with paypal for more than 4 years and I didn't had a single Rs mistake or any problem with my credit card the safest way to use your credit card is to buy things using credit card via paypal

suppose you bought a toy from www.abc.com and any hacker hacked that site and got your credit card details .. now what ?? you are in risk ..

but if you will buy from www.abc.com using paypal and payment via credit card nothing will be in risk even if abc.com gets hacked

i never use my credit card to any site except paypal.com

paypal keeps your CC or bank information safe and pays the payment without raveling your important information

paypal accepts debit cards also but you need to register your indian debit card first
i have 2 debit card also added and i am indian

I am sorry but i can't reveal the secret how to register your debit card from visa's website so that your card gets accepted in paypal .. this registration is different from what you do first time to activate your card

all credit cards are pre-registred by bank and hence it's gets accepted in paypal
but indian debit cards are not pre registered hence you need to manually do this and until you do this paypal will not accept your debit card

don't be 100% sure that all your CC will be accpeted some CC has also been rejected ( my many friends has found that their CC has also been rejected )

    i agree with chakravarti
i also have debit cards added in my paypal A/c

paypal definitely accepts indian debit cards but you must register it and it must be international debit card
make sure that your card has the power to pay in USD also

if your debit card is international then its clear that
your card has the power to pay in many other foreign currency ..
