Server for streaming live events
Looking to buy a server I can use to stream live events such as sports, ppv, etc. They will be live and I will more than likely have a 24/7 stream going of Sports News. Need to know price obviously and what type/spec of server I need e.g. vps/dedicated or rdp etc.
If anyone also has any experience of this I would love to hear from them too and how they set it up.

seems a bit expensive, and ipowerz by my experience of your RL, i don't think I go well on your servers
Obviously before I go to buy any, I will have to test it with a demo.

Hi Roy,
How much bandwidth do you expect to be using? As I assume this could eat up alot.
Regards. It's amazing, being in a community can cause hate. Competitors or not - DDOS isn't cool :)

Not entirely sure, depends on the bitrate of the stream I guess, which I'm gonna experiment with. Or I could just have it for events so it's not 24/7, might be a better idea but not totally made my mind up about that yet. Looking through the Primcast bandwidth calculator, it showed me a ridiculous amount of traffic that I would have to cater for if I were to have a full quality 24/7 stream, also the services they offer seem incredibly professional and very expensive. Ain't got that the funds for that. Or I could get a few people together who would want to go with this and put money in? hmmm. . . . .
Surprised someone on here hasn't tried this before.
