elight, just ignore these people and leave the advertisements where they are. It doesn't look spammy at all. Its your forum and you have every right to make some money off it the way you see fit.

Why are the 'WGTools' threads still stickies? elj is no longer here and that site is unaffiliated with KWWH, it is no more important than any other site maintained by a member on here. I'm sure there are many other threads much more relevant than those to be stickied. 3. I lied there are 3 things. Rating: 5

I am happy to leave them there for now. The site is pretty handy Plus according to some I am el_jentel1 (but secretly I am just hoping he makes a return one day).

It's not about making masses of money though, not that the ads are... Or were, but I wanna find somewhere in the middle. Overall people seem to think we could cut back on them. Perhaps restructure.

You could keep the ads, however just don't have them all being filehost ads, THAT is what makes the site look crappy.

lol hes not elj unless hes undergone some sort of radical personality alteration or has split personality.

and sure i agree the ads may be needed to fund this forum (depending on who you are elight and what your financial situation is). But not this many, especially that flash banner, thats the worst banner ever.

I'd also recommend donations but I know not many here will donate. I have a server i've run since 2008 and get $150 donations monthly (one different person donates per month to cover the bill), so it can be done.

Yeah there will be some ads. Especially if we're to upgrade our systems at some stage. I see no problems keeping the site afloat for now, at least not in the short term future. That flash banner that you mention comes down somewhere around the 20th of May.

Donations are always difficult to manage. Especially with PayPal being such a pain in the ass. I've considered offering some kind of "Elite" membership option that you can pay a couple of bucks for (rather than a boring donation) but I've really got nothing to offer those members currently

Yeah and taking into consideration that the majority of people are uploaders now, I guess all they'd want is something like an automated upload script lol.

But yeah that flash banner going will be awesome, even though its blocked on my home pc (and on every other smart member's PC, adblock and/or noscript ftw), its just awful.
