    Offshore servers cost more than US based servers, this is why price is a bit more high in offshore location.

    We earn more money from traditional hosting than offshore.

    All depend of your marketing strategy, solid servers, savvy tech and you are on the road.

    It depends on how good you are at getting clients ... and as said above ... offshore and allowing illegal shit means higher chances to get in the middle of a bitchfight between hacking kiddies

    and for example, I have an offshore dedicated server. What is my fault someone's script has been hacked?

    I'm not saying I don't like the idea of offshore hosting, but in the last few months there were like 20 new hosts(including mine ). I tried, I said and I will say again. Having own hosting doesn't worth unless you have other sources of money. Here's the math

    Quality server = more than 100 USD p/m
    cPanel license = 30-40 USD p/m
    WHMCS = 15 USD p/m
    LiteSpeed(most of you have/want that) = ~30 USD

    -----------------------------------------------------
    So, spending more than 150 USD and no other sources of money, no thanks(That's my opinion). If you done it right you may get sucess(Like SolidNode). So better make quality onshore hosting than offshore
