    For Speed ,

    Use the command :
    wget http://cachefly.cachefly.net/100mb.test

and you will see the speed of your download

For Performance go to http://www.cpubenchmark.net/high_end_cpus.html and Press CRTL + F and paste your CPU model to see how much it can bench more , around 4500 - 6000 is a good score.

25-50 MBs should be OK for a shared 1Gbps port.

The VPS I had with the losers and scammers of Technihost only got to 3.9MBs on cachefly's bin file.

I don't think a dedicated port would be affordable. And it depends where the server port to the outside world is attached to.

    But 34MBs should be OK.
