Always go lonewolf: being in a squad can cause team members to spawn at your position, and they WILL give away your position. However, being a squad leader means you can request for supplies at your position, once you get it, quit the suad.
Which brings us to the next point, Position: Find your favorite spot to snipe from, sometimes the most obvious position is the hardest to spot by your enemy. Most players out there look for snipers up in buildings and never bother to look down. Always move. Dont stay put for too long, if you are on a killing streak, move around, fast, and prone back to sniper mode. Dont just stay hiding and never get flags! Go for them, run in zig zag since those are always harder to snipe by enemy snipers. Listen for footsteps, listen for shots fired, try to see where the shots are coming from. When running, use your pistol, a sniper pistol kills in one shot.
Claymore strategic points, and climb stairs slowly to check for claymores.
Moving targets are by far the hardest to kill. Practice alone before going to multiplayer, learn how you have to accomodate your sight at diferent distances. On your moving targets, keep your sight sligtly infront of them as they are moving, when you shoot, slightly move your mouse in the direction they are running, at the same time as the shot. Be patient, dont rush into it, wait and they might turn and run straight to your location.

Now, in real life, you would be able to shoot your sniper rifle without using the scope to kill an enemy, in here, sniper dont have crosshairs unless in scope mode. How to fix this? Well, go to scope mode, and right on the center of your crosshair tape a small black dot. Now you can snipe much faster in combat!
