I know some of you are familiar with this but I see that some others aren't, so for some people's "Stats Freeze":

Check the "FROM" and "TO" dates in your Stats page - make sure "TO" ends with the current date!

Now just to reassure everybody: If there ever WERE problems with stats, we would end up crediting your for the correct count if this was the case!

unfortunatley they have to abide by the rules of the DMCA..if they don't, then lawsuits will ensue, and no one wants that..but, it could be worse, look at hotfile, they were happy to keep taking my money, then the very next day after renewal..ACCOUNT SUSPENDED..
it's just a case of, be careful where you post, some forums are very heavily monitored, &/or other posters reporting "compeditors" links..low?? yes, very, but it happens

Actually, the DMCA notification system is a little more secure than somebody making a fake e-mail address and reporting their competitors files!

One needs to prove that they are the legal representative of the copyright owner for the DMCA to be valid - and filing fake DMCA notifications can result in legal ramifications for the person filing the false report!
