That's a big letdown So we may have to make a deamon for RL to do segmented transfers

    Or are there other alternatives?

    It begins...
You can't daemonize RapidLeech for segmented transfer. What you can do, however, is use Aria2.

Aria2 is a linux based download manager that supports a wide variety of features. This includes daemonizing, an XML-RPC (to remotely send requests and monitor download progresses), segmented downloads, sequential downloads, cookie support, and a fuckload of other features. There's also 2 existing PHP implementations of the XML protocol for it (Aria2 class and Aria2Web).

To integrate it in RL would probably require a lot of work. I don't know, because I don't touch RL; messy code for the lose. But you guys could probably use Aria2Web (the php based web remote panel to use Aria2 as a download manager) alongside Rapidleech.

Or you guys could just use an RDA with IDM.

I used aria2 for rapidshare a while back, was definitely better than messing about with RapidLeech. I was on a fully dedicated worldstream server which had a shit load of everything therefore I was just utilizing it. I installed installed rar support.

It's extremely useful changing names in linux as well; because you have the wildcard (*) to use. You can also delete all 'x' files in a folder; so you can do something to delete all .rar files or all .avi files by using something along the lines of:

    Code:
    rm -r *.avi

So kiss me and smile for me, say that you'll wait for me <'3

    That would be:
    Code:
    rm -f *.avi
The above will not prompt you before deleting each file. Eliminating the -f parameter will prompt you before it deletes each file

Wow Aria supports Torrents Would be damn awesome to intergrate RL with Aria!!! I think a few of us should put together money to hire a RL coder to integrate it with RL!

    Who's with me?

Well like I said RL's code is messy as fuck. Good luck finding someone to make that structural a change. And remember Aria2 is a program that's not bundled with OS's by default. So you would need to have a VPS/Dedi to be able to use it.

That's not going to be a problem for most people/providers. Who uses RL on shared hosting services anyway?!

Back to the subject there are still a few Rapidleech coders, I hope one of them can help us out... Would really be nice though
