DataLife Engine Installation Guide please..

Hi Everyone,
I have been looking for installation guide for DataLife Engine, like how to create database before installation, should it be uploaded in public_html etc. Searched alot but no guide I found which talks about databases. Even on youtube, it is installation on localhost guide and on a web server it is available in other languages but not in English .
Can someone forward me to a some installation guide.. Like a complete one? I am a techie (not an IT graduate) but I surely can do if guided.

I'll list down the usual steps invloved to install a php application. (But I don't know exactly about this software)

(1) Make sure you have php and mySQL running on the web hosting service which your .com domain is forwarded. (You may call your web hosting service and verify this)
(2) Most of the time you are required to create a blank database and the settings need to be provided in the installation wizard
(3) Download the code (Usually it comes as a compressed file)
(4) Extract it and upload to the root folder of your server using your FTP account.
(Make sure you have index.html or index.php file in the root folder which the domain is forwarded)
(5) Open your web browser and go to your site. Usually there should be an installation wizard to guide you through the installation by giving required instructions.

This is just a common guideline. However you may give it a try. It must be easy

I forgot to mention my understanding of this so far. My apologies..

1- I should upload extracted package to public_html folder ? If I upload package file to public_html , it says " .htaccess " already exists...replace ?

2- The main problem is should I create Database before running install.php ?
and how to do this database creation , I understand this to some extent, just need a little push. I did a script (forgetting the name, i think sub-dreamer or something) which allowed integration with different forum softwares years back, now don't know about DLE. Database is the issue.

You must creat DB in Cpanel - MySQL Databases then creat user of this DB and give him all privileges ...

Copy all files from upload folder to server then:

1.For folder templates and all sub folders, set the record rights to (CHMOD 777), for all files in templates set the record rights to (CHMOD 666)
2. Set the record rights to (CHMOD 777) for folder backup, uploads and for all sub folders in both folders.
3. Set the record rights to (CHMOD 777) for folders /engine/data/, /engine/cache/, /engine/cache/system/.
Then run install.php by yourdomain.com/install.php and follow the instructions. Automated installer checks all the necessary files and configures the database connection. When you install script delete install.php and upgrade folder, then rename file admin.php (for example to a.php). You must do this by Admin Panel in section - Script safety control and by FTP - reneame it, it is placed in /public_html

Thank you so much. I created DB and User, privileges done.

Few more questions.
1- I have to upload DLE files from upload folder to "public_html" account or the root ? I am using Ftp client for file transfer.

2- If I upload package file to public_html , it says " .htaccess " already exists...replace ?



3- In FTP client, If I right click on a folder , There are "Owner permission" Group Permission and "Public Permission"...and Numeric Value (currently =755) should I enter 777 or 666 there..right ?

After installation do I need to change file/folder permissions again ? For security may be?
