VPS Security Advise & Help Needed

I recently taking VPS on monthly rent without cpane/whm or any of the premium license service or panel. i only have webmin, SSH, Console, Telnet to manage my rental VPS.

The VPS currently managed by the hosting. but i want to make more secure my VPS.

my VPS have installed and configure following services and modules

PHP
APACHE
MYSQL
CSF
eAccelerator
Zend Optimizer
ionCube Loader

I have researching more about all of them, the configuration look very simple and light moderated. i want to make all of them high moderated.

i am planning to install

suHosin
CalmAV
rootkit from (downloads.rootkit.nl)

I just wanted to make my VPS and PHP Application website safe, secure from hacking, exploiting, vulnerabilities, dDos botnet and brute-force attack.

If any one have experience and proving relevant info about security and advise some best and secure module which really make server performance better and completely secure the site from any illegal attacks so it would be appreciated.

Also, please tell me how to creating email address from webmin or SSH for using at site in php application for sending receiving email with Inbox.

and how can i enable my site some pages have access via HTTPS and how to allow extra version of site on https ?

and if you seen any dedicated/VPS server which have installed PhpMyAdmin are easy to access via IP of site like http://192.155.289.28/phpmyadmin/ . its show the version of the script. so could its possible to hide and make secure this secure area ?
