ACE / CrypticVPS
Hi guys,
I'd like to keep this as simple as I can, and so I will. There's quite a few members on this board who are aware of what went down a couple months ago when ACE used to run/own CrypticVPS.
For those who don't know, ACE used to run CrypticVPS. At one point, shit happened and he ended up losing a lot of data, and eventually sold CrypticVPS to another member on here, SyFlys. During that phase, a lot of members claimed ACE had scammed them by not providing the service they had paid for and not refunding the amount against which he did not render the service he was supposed to. There were accusations, and for all we know, there may have been proof.
There were threads/reports, but a lot of them ended up being deleted. Technically, there was (possibly) proof that was never looked at or accounted for.
ACE was recently banned following the fiasco earlier. However, after a discussion in the staff area, that decision may be reversed. Unless, of course, people who claimed ACE to be a scammer back then can now come up with the relevant proof again.
If you happen to have been his customer and you were scammed by ACE, you absolutely must come up with the appropriate proof within the next 72 hours. If we have enough proof, ACE will remain banned. If, however, we have no or very little proof of him being guilty of scamming, he will be unbanned. The time frame, before us staff make a decision, is 72 hours from this thread. That's 3 full days; more than adequate time, I'd say.
P.S: Keep the drama out of this thread. If you're not comfortable with posting proof here, PM me with the necessary screenshots/logs, etc.Lifetalk Reviewed by Lifetalk on . Apparently, there was chaos when it all happened with everyone crying scam. Now, when asked, no one steps up.
I mentioned 72 hours, but I'll unban him within the next 24 hours if no one comes up with solid proof.

Well
My pm to one of the former mod/admin, i don't remember. There is a picture about Ace talking with Sysflys about knowing that the data will be deleted and clients will loose everything.
PM START
Dear SpookyLady!
I am writing this message because i think that this is a really great forum, and i love to be here. Still, the thing that happening is kinda freaks me out.
As you already know enough about the stablelayer thing, that happens each and every day with hosts, that is not really bothering me.
My main problem, that it is clearly seen that Ace is misusing his moderator powers. Ever since he made crypticvps, he stickied his thread, and he deleted bad comments that was hurting his image, his business.
If he didn't do so, there won't be that much clients on his host, so less problem and angry forumer.
He even knew that after selling his vps-s, his clients will be deleted. He confessed it himself here: (read the last cube messages)

in case of deletion:

As of the style he speaks, he does things, i have to think that he is just a kid.
I don't know if there is any kind of moral code for moderators, but i really believe that this great forum shouldn't have such staff.
The staff maybe shouldn't do any kind of business here, or limit their privileges in threads where are the reviews about their businesses.
I'm not asking you to degrade his role, or anything. Just at least say him that he made a mistake, and he should not behave like this. And maybe there should be more strict rules for moderators, so things will more likely less times go into this way.
Thanks for this great forum, and i'm sorry i have to bother you with such things... but while on most forums i'm just a silent reader, i was not able to close my eyes above this case.
Regards
Mahjong
PM END
Sisflys (the one who was told to buy ACE's hosting) hosting never came online, and everyone paid for ACE, so he should have paid back, but he was claiminjg that the host is not his anymore.
If you wanted a payback:
ACE's answer: I sold the host, not my problem anymore
Sysflis answer: I don't have money because all the clients paid the money to ACE.
So my only proof actually that image. But if you asking for proof after 3-4 months, you should not expect much. The choice is yours, but it was clearly not just another drama.
P.S.
+1 for Dj Mad, Ace was deleting and closing threads and comments/replies. That is the reason i wrote a PM to a mod, and that is the reason for the screenshot too. I knew that threads/comments can be deleted anytime, so not much use in posting them in the forum. On the picture ACE provided himself, Stablelayer wrote that he will delete all the customer data. Ace didn't even care, and posted that picture as proof for his innocence. Such a kid.

thats really all i can find, surprising considering all topics that were made?
here u can read about some of the stuff and about ace closing and delteing topics.

here are some other ppls replyies.
Dlow and Ace thinks that it is not their responsibility. Well, the paypal accounts where the funds went are yours. You even got money from stablelayer for your hosting. That money have to be enough to refund members. I was a client of crypticvps, and i opened a dispute, and will open a claim soon. I don't care who is the one who did this, who is responsible for it. I paid for someone, who never gave anything back, and i want to get the money from the same account i paid to.

Read those threads and recalled some from back then. Continuing this discussion in the staff area. But if you guys have more proofs or screens, go on and post them.

Ash, the original post said PMs will be accepted. You don't see those (if any). Maybe they are going through them.
