Today,I am going to buy some stuff with credit cards on the internet.I am planning to connect to some wireless network,not mine.Is there any chance to get caught by the police and how can they locate my laptop?

-Basically you're more less admitting that you're going to use "Credit Cards" that don't belong too you.

Connecting to "any wireless network" is illegal, doesn't matter if it's unsecured or not. Including public, unless of course it's warranted.

Around home area?

Public Library?
-You have to be in the Library.

Public Restaurant or Coffee Shop
-You have to be in sitting there.

If you're across the street on a bench somewhere accessing the internet, It's illegal and there are cases to prove you can be fined and even imprisioned for such consciences.

Just stating you're going to use another internet service to purchase items with a credit card you're omitting that you're going to be doing illegal activties and I would have to say this isn't allowed here and I have a feeling this thread maybe possibly closed.

As for tracing, No really - What you see on "TV" or "Movies" you cannot be traced back too from using an IP address.

but keep in mine, sharing Facebook or using the same e-mail can cause a "paper trail" in this case, "A digital trail. I highly recommend don't do anything.

Connecting to wireless is legal in some countrys, like in Finland, you can legally connect to others IF they have not secured it.
