CentOS - Kloxo

Hi , I created a VPS and installed CentOS 5.6 on it , then connected via ssh
( putty ) and ran : yum update

then installed kloxo successfully , however i can't connect to the url :

http://ip:7778/

* Do i have to configure something else to make it work ?

- Its working fine via ssh ( firezilla / putty )

Check do you have apache running

Can i start apache using a command in ssh ?

/etc/init.d/httpd status

To start

/etc/init.d/httpd start

Make sure that 7778 port is open. You'll connect no matter apache is running.

did u reboot the server?

Try:

/script/restart

If that doesn't work, your ports could be blocked.

Simple Fix;

iptables -F
iptables -X

If not, I don't mind taking a quick look.

K - i got it working , the vps firewall was blocking the connection . I stopped the iptables and working now
