    Well India generally has 10Mbit port only

    100Mbps port here is rare and provided on rare and quite heavy occasions and mostly Gov. and other main DC's here like Times Of India have

    PS: Another reason for your bad speed is India is even more far away from USA than germany so ofc speed will be slow

    USA -> Germany ->India -> Japan / China

    Well who said India doesn't have 100mbps ports ?

    The 100mbps ports are given to corporates and are far more expensive. I'm upgrading my internet connection to 10mbps from 1st June.

    I had visited the datacenter in Mumbai and they had 1GigE connection along with 100mbps port. The datacenter head, also showed me their bandwidth monitor graphs and all.

    So, you are just not aware much of the datacenters in India.

    The main bandwidth provider in India is authorized to only VSNL & BSNL by the Government. Only they can provide the true 100mbps bandwidth.

    Reliance, CTRLS.in, Airtel, etc. are just leasing the bandwidth lines from them.

    We have public one too with 32 mbps

    And its Railwire, now I guess they provide 52 mbps net connection.
