I have just disabled persistent connection to db via php.ini.
but still have high load especially at mid night, but the performance somewhat is better than before.
Enable slow_query_log in my.cnf, then analyze the slow queries and see which one you can remove/optimize.
Iam running just a forum on the server, i didn't make any manual changes to my current mysql database, it is the default one of any Mybb forum.
But i think that the the high post count daily may be the culprit (many posts within 1 min) , and don't know what to do regarding this.Offshore-host.blogspot.com - List of DMCA flexible webhosts.

Dot.ALHi,
Optimizating my.cnf is a really hard work bur you should optimize it from your server specs..
This whole week i was trying to optimize my.cnf not becouse i am having high CPU usage just for been ready
You can use the command "/usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/mysqltuner/mysqltuner.pl" into SSH thru putty and you will get some suggestions..
This thing should made every day or every 1-3 days to see what the script will suggest you to change
this is a loong term run so you wont see the changes imediatly
