You can set the time value as to when a user logs in and it records them for example
user A logs in vb settings records it for lets say 5 days and you will visit the site before the 5 days are up and it will still show the user in the logs after the 5 days have been completed it will refresh starting new again
Im not sure whats it called but some keywords to help you in google
