    Default cPanel/Whm Mod

    Hi Guys,

    i need a modification created for whm/cPanel
    and i would like some information about this
    if its already been created or if its even possible.

    Anyway the mod features:

    Can put a invisible limit on accounts i.e.
    Daily Bandwidth Limit:
    package 1 - 10GB Daily (if goes over instant suspension)
    package 2 - 15GB Daily (if goes over instant suspension)
    package 3 - 20GB Daily (if goes over instant suspension)

    CPU Limit:
    package 1 - Over 15% for over 45 seconds *suspension* over 30% instant suspension
    package 2 - Over 20% for over 45 seconds *suspension* over 35% instant suspension
    package 3 - Over 25% for over 45 seconds *suspension* over 40% instant suspension

    Specific File Type Bandwidth Limit:
    package 1 - 5GB Daily limit (.zip/.rar/ect...) - otherwise instant suspension
    package 2 - 10GB Daily limit (.zip/.rar/ect...) - otherwise instant suspension
    package 3 - 15GB Daily limit (.zip/.rar/ect...) - otherwise instant suspension

    Each option must be editable and if i have 99 packages must have
    option for each package and on file specific type ability to add more
    file type and all bandwidth limits are up/down

    I want to know if something like this exists but if it doesn't
    give me an example of what you think it might cost to create
    something like this or if you can code it give me a quote

    Any question about this please reply

    Regards,
    iHate

    anything can be done take hostgator for instant about the cpu you would be wanting to suspend sites using a certain amount of inodes how ever i doubt anyone around KWWH would be this experience and if they were im sure it would not be cheap.

    How ever why not just hire some one to help monitor the hosting environment ?

    Hiring someone to monitor a few servers 24/7 would be more costly
    and there is also human error a script would preform constantly
    and there would be no error's *if coded properly*

    Well with the first thing you want done cPanel offers bandwidth limits for a reason once it hits a certain amount it will auto-suspend

    as far as downloaded a certain type of file/size there is actually an option for that built into cpanel/whm already

    true cPanel does offer a bandwidth limit,
    but i will be providing free hosting and i dont want people abusing it
    i will provide something like 90GB Bandwidth but limit will be only 3GB
    max daily bandwidth consumption to that users use it responsibility
    either voluntarily or forcefully.

    But without them actually knowing about the limit to catch out
    the abusers by surprise so that i can IP ban them

    Yeah but you have to look at it this way,

    Your offering free hosting with a 90GB bandwidth allocation as you said 3GB Daily limit ?

    Why the limit ? a monthly limit is fine if people know what they have they wont abuse how ever i would recommend disabling certain functions on the server to prevent rapidleech,sborg and others to prevent abuse

    true but the limit must stick to avoid abuse and disabling certain
    function might impact on other scripts functioning properly

    Also it would restrain site's which hog bandwidth that impacts
    on other sites.

    Yeah but all i am saying is what is the point of telling the user there is a 90GB/Month CAP i mean one day there site could use say 700mb the next day use 4GB to a web master it makes no sense to enforce a daily cap

    But i mean if its what your offering to make the service more apealing per say then let them use it, If they use it all within 29-31 days pending on the month well then there just fucked

    3x30=90 (30 Days)

    lol true but which website uses more than 3GB normal usage bandwidth?
    and if they use more they should get paid hosting or even a VPS

    Even if a site uses more than 1GB Daily Bandwidth they should be earning
    enough to have their own paid hosting.
