Which server is better ;P?

Which server do you think it's better and really good. It's gonna be used for a large site getting 500-1000 members and guests combined. The site will do lot of query's. These are the 2 servers to compare from:

• Intel Core i7 940 2.93Ghz
• 12288 MB DDR3 RAM
• 500 GB 7.200 RPM
• 2000 GB Traffic p/m

or

• 2x Intel Xeon Quad 5405
• 8192 MB FB DDR2 RAM
• 500 GB 7.200 RPM
• 2000 GB Traffic p/m

Which server is better and why would it be better? The server is from WorldStream and both server are the same price.

I would go for the first one. RAM is definitely the reason why.

1st one is better though I am also guessing it is much more expensive. Although the i7's dont perform as good as they should in a server enviroment from what I have heard.

I'll go with the 2nd one, if its just for inwarez you would probably use no more than 1GB-2GB ram but having a more powerful processor would be great.
