Best shopping cart software?

Hi guys, I've never opened an online shop before so I'm looking for some advice from you guys on what software to choose and what features they have. I could of done a google search but I'd rather see your opinions before reading other peoples first.

What can I say, I love you guys.

I'm thinking about setting up a couple of shops and I am going to be putting a lot of my time into them as I have some spare time away from work and college so I am trying to maximise my free time on something productive.

Any advice and tips will also be appreciated.
