How to make a torrent website like:

http://torrent.dl4all.com => They said "All of Dl4All Torrent's processes are automated by the Google API to find BitTorrent websites contained on the Internet" But I don't know how to make it.

Anyone know ?

Most torrent sites start with the TB Dev source code and expand out from that.

I used to run a few torrent sites, and its nothing but trouble if you ask me...But hey-ho and good luck to you.

There's also torrenttrader.

And as roadrunner said, it's really time consuming. If you want it to succeed, you need users and to have users your tracker needs to be successful. You know what I mean?

Also, since trackers usually dont make too much money, it will be hard to find good moderators and administrators. Worst than that, now and then you'll need to give instructions or correct your staff's behavior. People dont like to be commanded if there's nothing on the table: no money, no 'recognition' cause the tracker is small

When and if your tracker gets successful, things will get easier. You can get good members for your staff a lot easier, more members and maybe some money. Until then, you'd need to push the rock up the hill.


Been there, dont that. Some broken friendships, some money spent but I dont regret it. I learned a lot of PHP and CSS tweaking the tracker and, maybe, more important I learned a lot about people. How they behave under some circumstances, how to make them things they didnt want to do without even noticing it, what motivates them and... this looks like Criminal Minds shit, but it's real, almost all the uploaders had the same 'psychological' profile.
And... it's not easy to organize a group of 2000 people without:
? rewarding them/masturbating their ego;
? punishing them

I own a well-known torrent site (currently offline) I used the TBDev Source, Fully Modded, but as people have mentioned it takes time and money and if you're starting out, you could build the site on a shared hosting (Build, not run) and go from there...Trackers use a lot of resources, so a dedicated box would eventually would be required and again at first that would be money out of your pocket.

You do get donations, depending on how popular you are, The site I ran use to make a lot money to cover server costs and then some, until the other owner pulled out and gave it too me and in turn sided with an admin and lost all my donations. Go figure, right?

I still own the domain, source and have backup of all it's users for my site, in fact I could put it back online anytime I want, but without any donations or anyone there to help to upload, it's kind of hard.

I think they are torrent indexers.
