Default VNC + firefox slow upload?

    Hi,

I've setup VNC and firefox on a small VPS 1GHz 1Gb ram, when I run firefox through vnc and I go to filesonic and choose to upload a file from my VPS, the transfer rate is horrendous 50kb/s max.

The strange thing is, when I ftp it from the same VPS I get over 20MB/s. Why is there such a discrepancy? The CPU usage is under 10% and the RAM usage is under 50%.

    Thanks

PS: Running on Centos 5.5 32bit server image if that makes a difference.

I was just wondering if there was a reason. Thanks, but I'd rather use a perl script than a windows app on linux

I just wanted to know the reason, if it was just because of firefox being slow or some other web limitation.

Well if anyone was wondering... it was a dated flash plugin version that was causing the issue.
