Would be quite good to know your site url

    anyway, do these things:

    1. Add captcha (prefer to use keycaptcha since its not easy to bypass that thing)
    2. Limit posting of each user to certain amount
    3. Check for spam emails (if they have registered then they must be using temporary emails)
    4. Block temporary email providers in registration

And as Gav0 said, just ask there paypal email address and try to trace it

thanks for all the advice but I don't think this is spam since the email is directly addressed to me. but to answer some questions:

1.if I report abuse to hotmail these guys will probably just get a new one
2.captcha can be bypassed and won't help against manual posting
3.they haven't provided me with any paypal email yet
4.blocking ip ranges isn't an option since i would have to block the whole world.if they use a vpn they could have 10000+ different ip's

I have a creepy feeling that these guys are determined to attack me and that they have the skills to counter anything I do..unfortunately

They're noobs, obviously. So just ignore them, if they start talkin' shit, tell 'em to try you out, and they will eventually find another victim as they're just strong on words.

I already told you to let them have their move. If you are afraid of suspension then send the email of this situation both to your domain provider and hosting provider and ask them how to stop this from happening. I know that they cant do any thing but you just have to let them know the situation before hand in order to get out of the situation later on. Don't reply to their emails unless it will show your weakness. Just act as nothing happened. Censor porn related keywords.

my website has a decent ranking and i guess childp0rn would get the site and domain deleted.

i dont want this to happen and it seems they mean business. any ideas what i can do??

    thank you

Well you could reply them with Go fuck Yourself....
This shit has helped me in the past lol

I know everyone is saying the same thing, but I'll put my two cents in.

Anybody that is asking for money or they're going to retaliate by doing something is called 'Extortion' which is illegal.

You the forum owner isn't liable for any posts by users, usually.
-Any action of his threat by submitting such content is illegal all by itself and recording any logs of this users would be beneficial, but I assume you don't want police on your site...

Posting 1,000+ Posts would be considered SPAM, If you're using a well-known forum board, most of them of reCapatcha, Registration Blocker, Disable any 'Facebook' or 'Twitter' Connect (Auto Registration)

Moderate 'New Users' or 'Enable SPAM Protection', I can't go into detail as I'm not aware what forum script you use.

Akismet, Isn't just for WordPress, most scripts include this by default. - Free API Key...

Plain in simple, don't delete, archive it and ignore it.
EastsideHosting - (Web Hosting, Proxy Hosting, Reseller Program)
MediaONAIR - (SHOUTcast Servers, ICEcast Servers, Reseller Program)

    Dear Mickey!

I'm sorry to hear you having this issue. I also received the same email a while ago. Thought it was spam so I didn't think anymore about it before I got a second email asking me why I didn't respond to the first. Because of that the price went up to $250 a month.

I wrote them back and told them to go f**k themself and didn't give it a second thought before my forum got flooded with images of naked children both in sexual activity and not. Thousands of links to cp sites.

The posts were written by 13 different usernames. IP addresses ranged from USA, Russia, China, Japan, Netherlands, Germany and so on.

I deleted the posts, of course! And the users posting them! Didn't stop anything. Three days later there were thousand of new posts exactly like the previous ones. Also sent Hotmail an abuse report, but as I see now, nothing happened. Guess warez webmasters haven't got any protection by the "law" since what we do is illegal.

Captchas, approval-only posting and about everything suggested here didn't change a thing.

I spoke to my hosting provider about it. Only lead to suspending my site with the reason: "Since your site is beeing attacked this way we cannot allow it to stay open". No help there.

These guys are not n00bs or amateurs. I won't recommend you paying them a nickel, just wanted you to hear my story.

I hope it'll work out well for you, Mickey

    Best regards from Tristan, Canada
