When Posting Apps

Just a suggestion for when people posts apps on the forum.

We all know that small apps are easily binded with stealers/keyloggers/etc. and spread on forums (such as KWWH) with members with valuable accounts/passwords stored on' their pc.

There should be a rule that anyone who posts an executable app (.exe file) must provide a virustotal scan with the file. This is to protect all the webmasters (most of which would noobishly execute any file on their pc without checking) from being keylogged or someshit.

^ should provide a virustotal scan link proving that the file is safe to execute.

Agreed, it is very easy to hit people with bugs with all those apps.

A scan report should be must, to ensure some satisfaction for people who are gonna use it

i think every user who downloads apps posted here should know (regardless of the need for a virustotal scan from the OP's side) that KWWH does not take responsibility for materials posted here and merely just provides a stage for these apps to be published. users should download at their own risk.

If the creator is the one who is meant to post the link/screenshot to virus total what's to stop him scanning a clean version of the file and posting a download link to the infected one or a newer version which is infected?

that makes sense, if a user wants to inject you with a virus he will provide all the fake content you need to make it appear as a legit release, a better option would be for a mod to review it before approving the thread as i doubt there are a lot of apps released everyday in here

But they could check it once again to see whether it matches or not

Before the downloader opens it check it. I agree with this and I think I do it on all my apps. It is good to post a virus total scan.

I agree, but for some strange reason I am too lazy to do a Virus Total scan. My vision; Just use my apps, or just skip my apps if you don't trust me.
