cURL is an advanced PHP function that allows the Link Checker to go to a page search and view the links. It then uses cURL to go to Rapidshare and the other hosts and check their alive. A lot of cheap hosts don't have or allow cURL for security but if you on their shared hosting plan on bounceweb.com then yes you can use cURL. Sometimes it may not be activated though as standard. You should check to make sure it's on/activated.

If cURL is on and working then let us know and we'll try and find another reason.

You could run a script first and see if it's turned on or not. Their are lots available eg. Dman's free link checker page has a built in debug to see if cURL is enabled. It's free and just one file which you could use to check if cURL works on your site first. If not then you have to get your host to activate cURL as only the host can activate it as Juno said.

Download Dman's script here. It's tiny at just 3kb
    Code:
    http://rapidshare.com/files/274420789/dman.zip
Open it with notepad or another similar editor then change the line to 1 near the top:

$debug = 0; // change it to one to enable it.

Upload it and see if it works. Easy as that.

Let us know how you get on.
