Problem with vbseo sitemap generator

Hi guys i just installed vBSEO Search Engine XML Sitemap v.3.0 for my vb forum but i am facing a problem in accessing my google/bing reports

as acc to the instruction i need to go to http://www.yoursite.com/vB-root/vbseo_sitemap/ but when i go to this location there comes this 404 error

The requested URL /vB-root/vbseo_sitemap/ was not found on this server.

Acc to the instructions if i need to view my reports to need the reports i need to go to http://www.yoursite.com/vB-root/vbseo_sitemap/ but when i have uploaded the files there was no mentioning of any directory vB-root

So please tell me if the directory is automatically created or i have uploaded the files in wrong manner....

vb-root means your forum location. whether it is in main public_html directory or sub directory like forum

if it is public_html

then http://www.yoursite.com/vbseo_sitemap/

or any sub directory like forum

then

http://www.yoursite.com/forum/vbseo_sitemap/

First of all Thanks guys for helping me out...

But i have one more question that if i have to submit the sitemap to google webmaster tools what should be the url ?

EDIT:I can see on the top that theres this Sitemap Index written..

When i go to this url there comes again a 404 Not Found

The requested URL /sitemap_index.xml.gz was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

There's an xml sitemap here:

http://axxodl.com/sitemap.xml

in webmasters tools all you have to put is

sitemap.xml

You can must have edited the default settings for the vbseo sitemap generator as they aren't in their normal places.

@Sp32 this is not the one which is created with vbseo sitemap generator its created with

http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/

and it limits to 500 pages only i want to use that sitemap the one which is created with vbseo sitemap generator.

Try reinstalling vbseo sitemap generator as you'll have more knowledge about it this time and should be able to do things better. Remember you can change the vbseo sitemap generator settings by clicking on vbseo - vbseo sitemap settings.

If that is set up correctly go to vbseo sitemap reports and click run generator

Same happened to me about 1 year back...... but i have sold the forum now... you can find that thread which is posted by me here
