This guy is amateur. He can at least fake an email address using a Thunderbird add-on which allow you to manipulate the sender email address.

Anyway, does namecheap took the domain off-line? If yes, then the sender has accomplished his objective.

I know filehost will definitely took your files off upon receipt of such an email. They will even delete your files with an email written by a 3-years-old with broken english, not to mention something that appear professional like this email.

Why namecheap offline the domain?...it surly needs that kind of info which Evil explained above...every company deals with hell of fake emails daily....

Just wanna check if namecheap behaves like filehosts. Filehosts react whenever they receive complaint. Whether the complain is genuine they don't care.
