depends on your potential and the company in which you are being employed....
BTW i have never heard of cs and ce being two different courses..

the important thing among is which field your country needs employers mostly.

I didn't hear about "computer science" before, however I read that in computer engineering you will study everything relates to computer parts (Ram,CPU,HDD..etc) and how to make/fix them! It's kinda complicated as you will study "Circuits" ...

About the salary: It depends on your region/country, requirement and possibilities (for instance; not every country has factories that produce compute parts).
