That's nothing new mate. In fact I have done it few times myself. Everytime you decide not to continue LE with another site, you can't notify that site's owner about that. Its their responsibility to keep checking reciprocal links time to time.

Its not cheating. That's why you check your exchanges all the time. Almost everyone has done this at one point or another.
