Searching for a simple filehost script

So as the title says, I've been looking for a simple filehost script that I can put on one of my sites to allow a small group of friends of mine to upload and download files. I'm not looking for anything like RS, MU etc, just a simple script. I've found a few scripts, but they all have a download page, I want it though so it's just a direct link download, I'm sure the scripts I've found can be modified, I just have no knowledge of php

Anyone know of any scripts I can use, or have a link of where I can get it free/paid doesn't matter to me.

Why not just get a filemanager script to do this job?

You can add a login-password to it too.

Use that simple php ajax file manager and create shares where diffrent user accounts can upload and share their files only logined in

Easier way, setup ftp with accounts for all of them and give them FileZilla clients.
