worldwidexs.com.auFirst things before you start..
1. Do you have a web panel license? (open panels wont work out for live hosting unless your really smart)
Answer: That shouldn't be a problem I think
2. Have you found a good datacenter? (Id advise leaseweb for fast nodes for offshore hosting)
Answer: I am setting up deals with one very good DC. And they also offered me some nice plans. Maybe I'll go with them
3. Are you technical with linux???
Answer: I think so, and plus I got people to help, as I can see in my thread
4. Do you know the specs of a dedi you can afford to buy for hosting?
Answer: Will be thinking about that after I get the blocks of my team together.

Answer: Go with a stable web hosting provider rather than someone who "thinks" they know what they are doing and "is testing themselves with a few clients."

worldwidexs.com.auWell, I am not targeting a 100 customers on the first go. It will be impossible for me to handle so much, im not being some cool guy wanting to go big. Instead, i am planning to start small and take one step at a time. Look back, all who wanted to go big on the first go are either out of business or messed up.
I just don't want to keep any chance of messing up and hence "thinking" and "testing"' about it

vaporhostn.comPlease don't think i was trying to offend you on your thoughts i think someone who is willing can do anything...
Do you have a msn or something we can talk and i can help you on the go... I actually worked for hostgator on alot of stuff of course they wouldn't take my ideas since they have over 140+servers and didn't want to do the work...
(trust me i remember their monitor site where each server load could be seen and which ones were down... It was horrible all of the servers with 10 or more were going over 10% usage)

Lifetalk wasn't talking about the number of customers you are going to target but he was talking about your available funds before investing in this project.
He said that you can't make a web hosting if you have some hundred bucks (means hundreds of dollars) but you need thousands to start a web hosting business as its not a fun game
Hope that i clarifies it to you now

worldwidexs.com.auNot a problem man, even though I could have invested thousands, but I planned on going with a big name instead of taking the trouble. In that post, I meant, I wont be targeting hundreds of customers, for which a great investment is needed.
Thanks for the replies guys. As I have started with a Company, I would want this thread to be closed.
ViPeRR please send me a PM
