VPS Install Rar Problem

Can anyone tell me what this means and how to sort it ?
A good friend of mine is trying to install the rar function on the vps but for some reason this comes up. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

The VPS is CENTOS 5.6 x86_64 virtuozzo on server

rar: /lib/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.7' not found (required by rar)

Install libstdc++ by loggin into your ssh terminal and typing:

yum install libstdc++

enjoy!

Already tried this, He said he tried this method and everything is up to date but still it comes up this error.

First do this :
yum -y install rpmforge

Then :
yum install rar unrar

In the end :
shutdown -r 0

It will solve everything.....

Ok.. have passed on the information, will report back and let you know how this goes. Hopefully this solves everything and rar / unrar works

EDIT: No package rpmforge available.

cd /tmp
wget http://www.rarlab.com/rar/rarlinux-3.6.0.tar.gz
tar -zxvf rarlinux-3.6.0.tar.gz
cd rar
cp rar unrar /bin
