the depends on the load of the sites you want to be hosted there
ofcourse it is better than shared hosting, if you know how to tweak and manage it

It depends on what your plan with it is.

if you are going to use a panel then use webmin as it barely consumes any ram

You would need to tweak most of the apps but even 128mb will be very much better then shared hosting.

cPanel recommends 512. But depends weather your running from SSH or a Panel.

~ Cheap prices and just $10 for 512 /month if you use "PRIVATE5OFF" over at www.BurstBox.org

If you know how to manage it then don't install any control panel.
It should be enough if your site is small.

When i setup servers without a panel it usually runs at 256MB, so i would think thats the minimum you would want to run upto speed.
I would recomend at least 1GB of ram.

The minimum cpanel will run on - 256mb ram.

I dont suggest you install kloxo on 128mb ram, as there wont be any ram left for anything. Let alone kloxo.

Webmin is your ideal panel if you want a panel, otherwise 128mb should be fine for a tiny startup site or even a static site - you should tweak your vps to get the most out of it, and I suggest no panel, and install services manually.

    Best of luck,
    Cheers,
