I want to remove the black outlined in red and make the logo stretch to the end.

Ummm open the css and remove backrgound: #1a1a1a;.

#logostrip{
background: #1a1a1a;
border: 1px solid #1e1e1e;
height: 119px;
width: 760px;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}

That Should remove the black from the banner, and to make it extend to the end, well you'd have to adjust the image size.
