    what i do is:
    - rename the main rar file
    - add a file to the main rar, so the total size becomes different from the "scene release"
    - change the md5

but i never use safelinks, i think that are not user-friendly

It is impossible to get away from file deletion. What i do is to have a back up file on another filehost so i can easily get new links in the post.

I have one suggestion - posting links in folder will keep the links alive for long time. As you can see from my blogs.
Looking for a stable Seedbox, Windows, Linux VPS and 24/7 Customer Support - please check out the following:
    For SeedBox = SuperSeedbox
For VPS = RedSwitches & BuyWindowsVPS

MD5 does NOT help make the file last longer or do anything but allow you to reupload the same file on the same filehost if it was blacklisted by that host. Which is pretty useless nowadays anyways since we now have the "copy" function.

RENAMING files does NOT work either. You can name it picturesofmypuppies.rar and it would still get deleted if it was reported. It simply does NOT work.

NOTHING will work. If it gets reported, it will get deleted. PERIOD.

Don't waste your time with advices coming from these morons.
