AztekServers.com AHGNet.comWe're both on the same server, if I'm not mistaken. I'm just wondering why it seems like our 2gbit server has speeds similar to a 1gbit server...
In fact, I "raced" this 2gbit server with my 1gbit server and they have practically the same speed. These tests were not conducted on filehosts, of course, and were done at different times of the day. All the results were the same, either they are both running at the same speed, or the 1gbit is even a little faster than the 2gbit. Rarely does the 2gbit win the race...
I'm not saying that they might have sold us a 1gbit and claimed that it was a 2gbit. What I suspect is that the server might be oversold, which is the reason for its speed (or lack of speed). I'm sure that a 2gbit server should be able to do downloads in excess of 160-180Mbps, or at least 140Mbps. Fastest download speed I got from the 2gbit was 80Mbps.
My 1gbit can do that easily and highest speed I got from that was 140+Mbps...

@Phresh Thanks for the speed test
@Teks have u opened any ticket to the support regarding that ? I told them that the speeds are not so good and that on the main page they advertise a much better speed test and they told me that the speeds are good and that i have to keep in mind that there are 20+ more people on the server...
BTW correct me if i am wrong but 20.000kbyte is not 140 mbit its 240 aprox.. in my case

AztekServers.com AHGNet.comYes I did and got pretty much the same answer that you got. We have to keep in mind that there are 20+ more people on the server? They have to keep in mind that 20+ people are paying for the service, so they should improve the quality, at least.
Anyway, I'm transferring to a new server by next week...

AztekServers.com AHGNet.comTeh Host is my first choice, but I'm still scouting around for others. Ionvm.com also has a plan that looks good on paper, their hybrid plan. It's supposed to be a semi-dedi VPS, or one that has fewer people on it than a regular VPS.
Another idea I'm considering is getting my friends to chip in and get a low priced dedi, but I don't see that happening in the next few days...I'll probably do a demo on a few more hostings before deciding...
