    well hotfile need to submit top 500 affiliate details. most of scene uploaders left hotfile few months back. So the top 500 affiliate now will be non scene people.

    If apple can make use of Photoshop, then why cannot hotfile make use of some SQL query to insert some interesting data

    All this sounds pretty bad to me. I mean, if court can request IPs from Hotfile, they can request IPs from warez-bb also

    And they should be able to do it easier, because no one can't see username of a guy who uploaded some app to Hotfile, but they can easily see that the "Uploader123" posted their copyrighted app on wbb and base their request on that.

    It is strange to me that Hollywood started battle with Hotfile instead with largest warez portals and forums...

    Hotfile is US-based and therefore easy meat. WBB and other folks are most likely based somewhere beyond US jurisdiction and not so easily torn as per the whim and fancy of MPAA and US court.
