Hey guys, I'm looking for a good Russian host for my new webprojects.

Specs should be good, but the price shouldn't be too high, the max I will pay right now is around 500-700 a month for a dedicated server.

USA can seize any domain name if it's registrar is a friend to the americans.

Just make sure you use a trustable registrar and you should be fine, even with a USA domain name (but yes, a dot ru domain would be much safer)

You can always use a reseller for double protection (nic dot ru domain name reseller).

outside the EU + away from america is the safest option by far.

but yeah... IP is safe... use the IP...

Well I wanted to purchase a .com domain for seo reasons.

I will probably register it on an underground registrar that won't share information that the US can not size.
