    Default Broken Images overlapping New Images

    have recently upgraded my forum from 3.8 to the latest version and everything is fine so far apart from whatever skin I use even the default one the reply buttons look messed up, I have included a screenshot to show you what I mean

    I have tried reuploading files and even deleting any old image files from the last version and choosing different skins/default skin but havent had any luck so far. I also disabled all modifications and applied them again one by one to see if it changed anything which it didnt.. cant think if I have edited any templates in the past which may of had an effect.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Edit : I was told to try firebug to see if anything was wrong but as I'm not really that technical I dont know what to do

    I selected 3D mode so I could see the 2 layers of edit buttons and then copied these html codes for the edit post button

    this is the bottom image behind which works
    <a class="editpost" title="Edit / Delete" name="vB::QuickEdit::260553" href="editpost.php?p=260553&do=editpost">

    This is the top button for which images are broken
    <img id="editimg_260553" alt="Edit / Delete" src="home/bassline/public_html/clear.gif" title="Edit / Delete">

    Any ideas at all??

    looking at the src attribute value alone, you can see that it's not suppose to be like that.

    Look at your postbit template, sometimes there's a <div> linking to the image but another image there, for example:

    <div class="top_l"><img src="images/top_left.jpg" width="32" height="18" alt="" /></div>

    The <div> is already linking to the image in the css but the <img> is there as well.
