Go to it's main site. Login with your gmail account. It'll ask you to register. Register with your site and add the code to your site such that it's included in all of your pages. Once done, wait for a day or two and see the traffic ;D

No it won't increase traffic.
It's a tool like awstats, statcounter, to view your traffic to your website (where traffic means, visitors, pageviews and stuff).
And no, it will not help to increase traffic

GA is just used to view daily/weekly/monthly traffic of your website, and its not completely accurate since it sometimes misses some visitors. Its a tool to view your traffic and google adsense analytics. It will not increase the traffic to your site, however you can use it for seo purposes by checking the search queries people use to find your site and add them to regularly used keywords on your site.
