A Side-by-Side Comparison of PPD Rates For FileSonic and 8 Others

INTRODUCTION:

Hello everyone,

This thread is for users interested in PPD (Pay-Per-Download). If you are interested in PPS (Pay-Per-Sale), you do not need to read any further as this thread is not about PPS.

It all started when I was trying to figure out which file host would be the most beneficiary to me in terms of PPD, and realizing how difficult it was to compare them because I had to go to each site individually to compare rates. I figured that if all the rates were somehow put together in the same chart, it would be a lot easier to decide.

So I made just that. One chart with all the rates on it.

TIPS:

1. Take a look at what size most of your files are, as well as what country most of your downloaders are from. Then look below at the charts to see which file host would pay the most for that file size/country.

2. If you know that most of your downloaders come from a certain country and you do not want to search through the long lists to see where it would be, press Ctrl + F and type in the country.


KEEP IN MIND:

1. Rates are per 1000 downloads.
2. Rates are accurate as of April 19, 2011.
3. Rates can change at any given time.
4. This is only for PPD (Pay Per Download).
5. Earnings from other sources such as referrals and sales are not included.
6. High rates aren't everything. When choosing a file host remember to think about other factors (site layout, reputation, free/premium features, etc.)
7. It is possible there are errors in the data. I am only human after all.

CONCLUSION:

To conclude, we can finally disprove many of the advertisements on official file hosts claiming that they are "PAYING THE HIGHEST RATES ON THE MARKET!" All you have to do now is take a look at the charts below and figure out for yourself who is actually paying the most.

And with that being said, I hope this has been of good use to you and can hopefully ease some stress of picking a decent file host.
