    Respected Developer

    Test for openvz (linux):
    1. execute 'df'
    2. if the filesystem is /dev/simfs then its openvz virtualisation

    It begins...
VPS'es are also limited by cores. So try this too:
    Code:
    cat /proc/cpuinfo
If the number of cores that's returned does not match what it should be (For example 8 cores for an i7) then you're on a VPS.

In SSH, login as root and type in 'df'. If you get the output '/dev/simfs' then you are on a VPS.

    Hello,

You can try to test this :

    Code:
    cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep siblings
If you get anything as output like ->
    Code:
    siblings : 4
    siblings : 4
    siblings : 4
    siblings : 4
You have got a dedicated server. But if you don't get any output you have a VPS.

    Best regards
